Rates
Darkroom rental is $15 an hour.
Studio rental is $30 an hour with a 2-hour minimum.

Block time is sold in 5 and 10-hour increments:
$65 for 5 hours or $120 for 10 hours.


MasterCard, Visa and American Express accepted.

Now Available: PROCARD. Twelve consecutive months of darkroom use for $1200. Not valid for studio rental.

Darkroom Rental
Darkroom rental is $15 an hour.
A five hour block is $65.
A ten hour block is $120.


Includes chemicals, enlargers with lenses and easels and other darkroom equipment to print up to 11x14. Time charged includes drying, trimming, mounting, etc. There is a $50 set-up fee to print 16x20 or larger.
Studio Rental
Our 1000 sq. ft. studio rents for $30 an hour. Two muslin backgrounds (blue or gray) are available or you may bring your own and use our background supports. A day-rate of $190 applies to rental of the studio for 8 hours in a single day (a 20% savings over hourly). The studio has a painted floor and a double-wide overhead door for large props. The studio must be reserved and pre-paid. A two-hour fee is assessed for cancellation less than 24 hours beforehand.

Studio Lighting Equipment

Studio Lighting


Dallas Darkroom has studio flash for rent. The lighting kit includes two monolights (1-750 w/s, 1-250 w/s), two reflectors, two light stands and two umbrellas. Lights rent for $30 per day, full day studio rental with lights is $220. This equipment is available for use in Dallas Darkroom's studio only. Reservations required.

Film Processing

Regulated and purified water is used with processing chemicals. Stainless steel tanks and reels are provided.
$5 per roll for 35mm or 120 film, $7.50 to develop a roll of film and make a contact sheet.
